i had him down very quick.
i took my attunments with me (for him).
he was spanning all the attunments while i cast Meteor Shower -> FireStorm -> Flare and he was dead.

Whitin i don't know 7 seconds?

Get Obsidian Flame and let's say...Stone Daggers and Stoning... He wont cast Obsidian Flame but he'll use Stoning and Stone Daggers. Assuming you got Armor of Earth on, and that you cast Obsidian Flame everytime it recharges, you should kill him within 20 secs...

Glyph of Elemental Power + Obsidian Flame + Stoning

This combo drops the dopple ganger incredibly fast, you can even tack on crystal wave and kamikaze rush him for the finish. I had my dopple dead in like 7 seconds. Sometimes I throw Iron Mist in my skillbar for kicks hoping he would cast it on me and make me invincible. Just make sure you have 16 earth. Also load up you skill bar with useless skills like rust, irons mist, or some touch spells like lightning touch so that he runs right into you crystal wave or aftershock. Earth is probably the best way to go just because of Obsidian Flame.

all i did, was equip 7 energy reducing skills, (water attune, aura of restoration), and meteor shower, with full fire stats. He went for mantra of frost, i went for meteor shower, and he was down and out in less than 2 minutes

flare plus aura of restoration.

max out your fire stat. mine was at 13 i think.

cast aura before you enter and then just blast away with flare.

when you have mesmer as secondary prof you could try Physical Resistence for him what gives him a -xx armor vs Elemental dmg.

then use your meteor , flare,.. and i think you'll beat him easily

with mesmer secondary, just have your preps ready before you step on the third rock...fire attunments, aura of restoration, arcane echo, step.

hit him with meteor shower, step aside, hit him with the echoed shower. ascended at lvl 14 in 15 seconds

i hit him with metoer shower first then fire storm then meteor and then flare and had healing spells..worked like a charm 4 me

i am an e/n and i had the EXACT same problem as you. so what i did is note when he did MS and i disrupted him with Meteor, and then fire storm. then i used phoenix and some fast charging skills to get him the rest of the way down. it was easy once you figured out how to do it
